Steelmaking auxiliary materials · Source manufacturer
Covering Agents, Exothermic Hot Topping Compounds and casting fluxes — made in our own plant, not bought and resold.
ArcSteel Technology supplies steel mills and foundries across Southeast Asia from our 10,000 m² plant in Henan, China. 30,000 tonnes a year, 83 people, ISO 9001:2015 certified — and an engineering team that has been solving casting-floor problems since 1998.

Products
Auxiliary materials for every stage of steelmaking
From the hot metal ladle, steel ladle and tundish through to the mould and the riser — every stage has a material that fits it.

Covering Agent
Cut heat loss from molten steel. Stop secondary oxidation dead.
Spread on the molten bath, a Covering Agent melts into a continuous protective layer that holds heat in, keeps air out and absorbs the inclusions that rise to the surface.

Exothermic Hot Topping Compound
Keep the riser liquid. Get sound castings and a higher yield.
A thermit-type compound that ignites on contact with molten steel and keeps the riser head hot while the casting solidifies — so shrinkage cavities and pipe stay in the riser, not in your product.

Slag Fluidizer
Thins the slag you already have — so the lime dissolves and the reactions speed up.
A Slag Fluidizer, not a slag former. Added at the converter or the refining ladle, it penetrates viscous high-lime slag, breaks down the calcium silicate network and pulls the melting point down — so lime that was sitting undissolved goes into solution and the slag you already paid for can finally do its job.

Ingot Teeming Flux
Clean ingot surfaces. Fewer dressing hours. Less scrap.
Added to the mould during teeming, this flux forms a protective liquid layer that keeps oxygen away from the rising steel, lubricates the mould wall and helps gas and inclusions escape — for a smoother ingot surface straight out of the mould.

Ladle Sand
First tap opens. Every time. No oxygen lancing, no lost heats.
Filled into the ladle nozzle before tapping, this sand holds the steel back and then releases cleanly when the slide gate opens — so the ladle self-opens and you avoid oxygen lancing and the delays that come with it.
Learn moreWhy us
Why mills buy from us rather than from a trader
Four things that decide whether a supplier is worth keeping. We built the company around all four.
We own the plant
10,000 m² of production space and 83 people in Xixia County, Henan, certified to ISO 9001:2015. Nothing is outsourced, so nothing is marked up on the way to you.
Production pricing
30,000 tonnes of annual capacity gives us real purchasing power on raw materials. You buy at the production price, not the trader price.
Engineers, not order-takers
Our team has been working on steelmaking consumables since 1998. We help you choose the grade, set the addition rate and read the results. If something is not working on your line, that is a conversation we want to have.
Built around Southeast Asia
Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore are our core markets. Climate-appropriate packing, correct documentation, and shipping that matches your production schedule.
Applications
Where our materials are used
Open a stage to see the problem that shows up there and how we address it.
Hot metal pretreatment
Hot metal sits in the ladle or torpedo car losing temperature before it reaches the converter. Every degree lost has to be paid for later in the heat.
Converter steelmaking
Slag that is too viscous resists desulphurisation and holds inclusions, and the operator compensates by adding more lime — which makes things worse and costs money.
Electric arc furnace (EAF)
High power input and long tap-to-tap times make slag control critical. Poor slag practice wastes energy and lengthens the heat.
Ladle refining (LF / VD)
During refining and transport, the steel surface is exposed to air and radiates heat away. That means temperature loss, reoxidation and inclusions that never leave the bath.
Continuous casting
The tundish is the last place you can keep the steel clean. Poor cover means heat loss, reoxidation, and nozzle clogging that shows up later as surface and internal defects.
Ingot casting
Two problems cost money at the same time: surface defects on the ingot skin, and pipe and shrinkage cavities in the riser that force you to crop the top.
Foundry & casting
Risers that freeze too early leave shrinkage porosity in the casting — and that means rejection, re-work and unhappy customers.
Technical support
If an off-the-shelf grade does not fit, we will make one that does
Standard products cover most situations, but steel plants differ — in furnace type, raw materials, steel grades and operating rhythm. As a manufacturer we can adjust particle size distribution, melting behaviour and packing, and run a trial batch so you see the result before committing to volume.
- Adjust particle size distribution to your feeding method
- Tune melting behaviour to your casting temperature
- Private labelling and custom bag weights
- Trial batch before you commit to a full order
